How to use a 5 mm grid
Each small square is 5 mm wide and 5 mm tall at actual print size. Two squares make 1 cm. With every fifth line emphasized, each large square measures 25 mm, or 2.5 cm.
For a graph, choose a scale that fits your data: one small square might represent one unit, five units or a tenth of a unit. Label the axes and write the scale beside the graph. Physical grid spacing and the numeric scale of your chart are separate choices.
A4 is selected here. Change the page size to match the paper loaded in your printer. Leave scaling at 100%, then measure the 50 mm bar. If it is short or long, check for a “fit to page” or borderless expansion setting.
Before you print.
Match your paper size. Set scaling to 100% or actual size. Measure the 50 mm bar on your first sheet.
Is the download free?
Yes. PDF and SVG downloads are free and require no account.
Why does my printed grid look smaller?
Your print dialog may be scaling the PDF to fit. Choose actual size and check the calibration bar. Increase the generator margin if the printer clips an edge.
Isometric spacing or row height?
The spacing control is the triangle edge length. Row height is approximately 0.866 times that value.
