Space without ruled lines

The spacing setting measures the distance from the center of one dot to the center of the next dot, horizontally and vertically. At 5 mm spacing, four gaps span 20 mm; count the gaps rather than the dots when measuring.

Use the dots to align a weekly layout, draft a lettering baseline or place nodes in a diagram. Increase spacing for more room between notes. A dark line color makes the dots easier to see on a light print; a lighter color recedes behind your writing.

The exported dots are vector circles with a radius of 0.18 mm. Paper texture, ink and printer resolution affect how they look. Print a test sheet before making a stack.

Before you print.

Match your paper size. Set scaling to 100% or actual size. Measure the 50 mm bar on your first sheet.

Is the download free?

Yes. PDF and SVG downloads are free and require no account.

Why does my printed grid look smaller?

Your print dialog may be scaling the PDF to fit. Choose actual size and check the calibration bar. Increase the generator margin if the printer clips an edge.

Isometric spacing or row height?

The spacing control is the triangle edge length. Row height is approximately 0.866 times that value.
